Protected Tree Preservation Act

Preamble
This Act grants legal recognition and protection to the Protected Tree of Kraftsborg.
The Tree is hereby acknowledged as a natural monument of cultural and environmental significance.
The Act ensures the preservation, maintenance, and defense of the Tree and its surrounding land under the authority of the Kraftsborg government.
Section 1 – Legal Rights and Land Ownership
- The Protected Tree shall be granted its own legal rights and designated land.
- The land belonging to the Tree shall extend five (5) blocks outward from each edge of the Tree, including its leaves.
- This land shall be owned by the Tree and managed by the Kraftsborg government on its behalf.
Section 2 – Definition of Destruction
- Destruction of the Tree is defined as the intentional removal, damage, or destruction of any of its logs or leaves.
- Destruction of the Tree’s property is defined as the intentional damage or removal of any of the following:
- Fences surrounding the Tree
- Snitches placed for protection
- Dirt within three (3) blocks beneath or around the Tree’s designated land
- Signs or markers related to the Tree
- Accidental damage may be excused at the discretion of the Cabinet or the Minister of Defence, depending on severity and intent.
Section 3 – Monitoring and Enforcement
- A log snitch shall be placed beneath the Tree to detect and record the actions of any individuals who cause harm or vandalism to the Tree or its property.
- Acts of intentional destruction or griefing shall result in a Period of Service (POS) punishment for a duration determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Section 4 – Oversight and Maintenance
- The Minister of Defence shall be officially appointed as the government authority responsible for:
- Maintaining the Tree’s protective snitches.
- Monitoring and investigating incidents of griefing or vandalism.
- Reporting all such incidents directly to the Kraftsborg Military for enforcement and response.
Purpose
This Act ensures that the Protected Tree of Kraftsborg is preserved as a living monument and symbol of the nation.
It establishes clear rules, accountability, and punishment for acts of destruction while entrusting the government to uphold the Tree’s sanctity.
