Prime Minister Term Limit Act

Proposed by: GatoCat0

Preamble

This Act establishes term limits for the office of Prime Minister, ensuring regular leadership renewal while providing a constitutional safeguard in the event that no valid alternative candidates are available.

It upholds the principles of democratic rotation and continuity of governance in exceptional circumstances.

Section 1 – Term Limits

  1. No individual may serve as Prime Minister for more than two (2) consecutive terms.
  2. An individual who has served two consecutive terms may serve additional terms non-consecutively, provided at least one full term has passed since they last held office.

Section 2 – Exceptional Circumstances

  1. If there are no other valid candidates for the office of Prime Minister, as determined by the Lord Protector, the current Prime Minister may continue to serve beyond two consecutive terms.
  2. This exception may extend their service to a maximum of three (3) consecutive full terms.

Section 3 – Continuity of Governance

  1. Upon the completion of three consecutive full terms by the same individual, a new and different candidate must be found to assume the office of Prime Minister.
  2. If no valid candidate is available at that time, Kraftsborg shall temporarily revert to direct governance under the Lord Protector until a suitable candidate is appointed through the proper constitutional process.

Purpose

This Act preserves democratic fairness by preventing indefinite leadership while ensuring that the government remains functional during periods of candidate shortage.
